This baby is getting major spankens. Kerrie has been having strong contractions for the past two days, but little is happening. After a full day of contractions yesterday, Kerrie was bushed.

So, we went to the hospital last night at about 10:30 because they said that they would give Kerrie some drugs that would help her sleep. When they checked her out, the baby’s heart rate dropped to below 60 beats/second for almost 3 minutes. The nurse put Kerrie in an oxygen mask and gave her an IV. We stayed there to be monitored until 2:45 this morning. Luckily, the heartrate came back to normal and stayed that way. Kerrie got a morphine shot and we came home for some restless sleep.

Here are the stats so far: Kerrie is dialated to a 3 and she’s 80% effaced. But, our doctor apparently believes that his weekends are sacred, because he won’t induce Kerrie until she’s dialated to a 4. He said he’d check her out on Monday. She’s currently having painful contractions every 5-7 minutes…she’s been constant at that rate for over 36 hours!! Keep Kerrie and the baby in your prayers.
