Our Crazy Weekend
by Jake on Jul.09, 2005, under Baby, Kerrie
As most of you may know, Allie was blessed on Sunday, July 3rd, along with her cousin, Sienna. Due to this big event we had a busy yet very enjoyable weekend. We had lots of family visiting. All of Kerrie’s immediate family was here, except her brother David and his family, and Jake had most of his family here as well. On Saturday we went to a waterpark with Kerrie’s family. That night we watched the Stadium of Fire fireworks from Aunt Carol’s house. She lives so close to the stadium that we were able to listen to the performers, Lonestar and Mandy Moore. On Sunday, after the blessing, Jake, Jarin and all the boys slept in a tent on our lawn so they could keep an eye on our saved area for the Independence Day parade. It’s nice because it’s so close to our home. 250,000 people watch the parade on July 4th as it is the biggest and most popular parade in Utah. In order to watch the parade without having to remain standing, you need to reserve your spot with blankets the day before, which we did luckily. After the parade, we went to Vivian Park (up the canyon) for lunch.
It was so much fun spending time with family. I can’t believe it’s over already. Thank you to those who traveled far distances to be here for Allie’s blessing. We truly appreciate it. Here are some pictures from the weekend.
