Yes, I know, I know….it’s been a while. We have been having too darn much fun this summer and our blog is suffering as a result. Please accept our deepest apologies

So last weekend, my little sister Jill got married to David Dalling. The wedding was at the Idaho Falls temple, with a beautiful reception to follow. Unfortunately, I didn’t take many pictures (I was serving drinks), so I’ll put some up when someone emails them to me…hint, hint (jakethornock@yahoo.com, which btw, isn’t my normal email address–it’s my spam address. That weekend was also the Sonderegger family reunion. We only were able to visit for about 5 hours because I had to get back for my calling. I have been hesitant to talk about my calling … I guess because I didn’t want to sound like I’m bragging about the vastness of my colossal testimony. If anything, my testimony is obese (maybe flabby is a better word)–it needs its daily exercise, which it doesn’t always get. Anyways, I am now in the Bishopric of a singles ward here at BYU. I was called back in April, a month before Allie was born. It is very fun! The students keep me from feeling too old, but then again, I feel old because I’m sitting up on the stand.

Our ward has a softball team that is in the intramural championship; we made the Final Four. Tonight we played two games, winning the first and barely losing the second by one run. I had some good hits and some decent catches, but I also had an error that I’ll never forgive myself for…dough!! It cost us a couple runs in the first inning. Softball is about the only exercise I get with church, family, school, and GMAT. But, let’s be honest—even without those things, I’d still probably sit home, pepsi in hand, and think to myself: “I ought to work out.”

Anyways, we’ve got a few more pictures of Allie to post. You should see her in her swimsuit that Aunt Kelli got her….SO cute! But, I’ve gotta run, so I’ll let Kerrie post those.
