Our trip to CA

Allie and I have returned from a wonderful time in Sacramento. We missed Jake tremendously but enjoyed all the time we were able to spend with family we don’t get to see often. We had a big family reunion the first week. All of the Trasmundi side came over to my mom’s for a BBQ, games and visiting. It’s been a tradition in our family to play darts at the family reunion, so darts we played.
We also celebrated Sienna and Allie’s 2nd birthday. (Allie turns 2 on May 8th). We went to a park with my dad and Vickie and had KFC and cupcakes. Allie and Sienna both got cute baby dolls.
My mom has the perfect party backyard. Pool, spa, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and lots of grass to play on. We spent many hours in the backyard. Allie loved their kitty cat, Tigger.
We made a few trips to In and Out Burger as well as a trip to Ikea (my first time). We also went to see the Sacramento temple. It’s nice to have a temple so close. Although the Oakland temple is gorgeous, a two hour drive there and back makes for a long day.
Hollie, Jarin and family left half way through our trip so we had some alone time with my parents until Maran, Scott and Hannah showed up on Thursday. Hannah is a doll. Allie loves her cousins. It makes me sad that we live so far away from everyone.
The flight home was long but Allie did well. It was so good to see Jake again. I think that was the longest we had ever been apart. We came home to a very clean apartment and some fun presents. I have such a great hubby!

Kerrie, you have some great photos there. I’ll have to order some. I love the ones with Allie and Hannah, I hadn’t seen those before. Glad you are home again with your sweetie. We had a great time together. Love ya Mom

It sounds like it was a great trip! I love all of the pictures. I can’t believe Sienna and Allie are (almost) two! Time flies.

You might have to send me some of these photos. They are so cute…. especially the ones of Allie and Hannah looking at each other. I am sad we only got to spend 2 days together. Hopefully next time it will be longer.

Wow, what fun! I loved seeing your family! All the little kids are so cute. Maran – your baby is so beautiful!
I bet you guys had a blast together. And I so want to go swimming in that awesome pool!

That is a sweet backyard! I don’t know why you’d want to go inside at all. It sounds like you had a lot of fun. Was it weird going to a different house?
