Quiet books

by Kerrie on Jul.18, 2007, under Kerrie, Uncategorized

We’ve been lame about blogging lately…sorry. I haven’t been feeling well and all my extra energy and time have been used on these quiet books, which are a lot more work than I expected. I’m hoping they will be useful for years. They will be great for church, the plane, long drives or just when you need quiet time. I purchased four packets and am trying to get one completed ASAP so Allie will have something new to play with on the plane ride to California in a couple weeks.

Jake left today to go to Atlanta, GA for a tax conference. He and his buddies are going to a Braves game on Friday night. I am already looking forward to his return on Saturday.

That’s about it for us. Here’s a picture of Allie eating a homemade berry smoothie today. She may have gotten more on herself than in her mouth. Some day she’ll learn how to balance her food on a spoon.

Those quiet books look pretty nifty. I might have to get some for Hannah. That berry smoothie looks yummy right now. The only thing I don’t like about berry smoothies is if you put raspberries in them there are a bunch of small seeds that get stuck in your teeth. Other than that, they are delicious (looks like Allie thinks so too).

Allie is berry cute! How long of a flight is it? Luckily, there will be two of you this time… right? I’m excited to see the finished quiet book.

Ah, to be a kid again, and not care about how messy we get!Allie looks like she was enjoying that smoothie.Good look on your quiet books, I am not to sure what they are, so I will have to take a peek at one when you are here.

Good for you for making a Quiet Book. They look really cute! Probably the closest thing my kids will get to a Quiet Book is a coloring book. Oh well.

What a cute picture! I tell ya – those eyes are killers, they’re BEAUTIFUL!!! :) Don’t worry too much about the flight, just imagine not being able to go and I’m sure it’ll all be worth it. (sniff) It’ll be so neat to see everyone – let me know how it goes & have fun!

Aahh. . .we can’t wait to see Allie next week. She’s growing up so fast. Let me know how the quiet book works for you on your trip. We’re excited to be with everyone soon. (Unfortunately Jarin will leave the day before you arrive, sniff).

Wow, when I looked at that photo I saw Kerrie as a toddler. She has the same look on her face that you had in one of your photos. What a cutie. Lets make some smoothies here in CA. :) Love ya
