30 aint so bad…

by Jake on Nov.27, 2007, under Uncategorized

…I guess. Getting old is tough, because even if I try to act young, I feel like an impostor. However, I do wish to say thanks to all the good folks for their good wishes and those who sent a little message to Kerrie.

As a way of saying thanks for all your kindness, here’s a LINK that you might find of interest. It’s a list of all of the restaurants that offer something free for your birthday. Most of them require that you sign up, but you can always give them your junk email address for that… Some of the best ones are Tucanos (free meal), Red Robin (free burger), and Cold Stone (free ice cream).

Enjoy getting older … while spending less.

    Hey Brother Jake,
I don’t know what kind of style you are fleeing, but I will fight with you…run! I’ll cover you…lookout! Don’t be a fool, like I said old is the new young. Some proof is why all the stuff we used to wear ends up comming back into style with the youth craze. Did I just say “youth craze”? I guess I understand the imposter part.

Thanks for the great link- I’ll have to give it a try. I think you’re going to love the thirties, think of all your going to accomplish in the next ten years…….and you’re still young! Haven’t you heard, thirty is the new twenty, forty is the new thirty, etc, etc…………

There is an old dude in my ward that always tell me “breathin’ is enough, at least I exist.”

I’m not old enough to realize this yet, but it seems wise.
    Much love,

    G
