Scary Santa

2007-Terrified!

I guess she still isn’t ready to accept Santa as a friend. I thought she’d be excited this year but instead she was terrified. She closed her eyes tight and screamed while trying to escape Santa’s lap. I don’t know why we put her through this every year…but it is pretty funny.

We had our ward Christmas party tonight. They served lasagna and although Costco’s lasagna isn’t nearly as good as the real thing, I was happy that they actually served my family’s traditional Christmas meal. Unfortunately, we ate and ran because Allie skipped her nap and was exhausted. So we missed out on the actual Christmas program. We are looking forward to seeing all our family, and hopefully some friends, in a couple weeks. I can’t believe it’s December. Where has 2007 gone?

Those are really funny pictures. Why does Santa have to be so scary looking? I wonder how Hannah is going to react this year.

haha! my kids don’t really experience the santa thing. it seems that every ward we are in, they skip the santa part of christmas, so there’s not really the opportunity, but i bet sarah and possibly even kayelynn would be terrified too :) see you soon, i hope.

That is hilarious. She’ll probably like him next year. Sisi did fine with Santa this year (she cried last year). I think it is because she has older siblings who weren’t scared and to be there with her while sitting on his lap. It is pretty scary to be forced to sit on someone’s lap who they don’t know and is big with strange white hair, beard, and clothes.

Funny! She looks a little scared in the first one too. We haven’t done a santa visit for a long time. I think he may be coming to our ward activity (we have a big yummy breakfast)- so we’ll see how Ella does.

Poor baby! So I guess I won’t answer the door in my Santa costume? J/K ha ha. One day she will laugh at it like the rest of us are. I have a photo of me crying too on Santa’s lap when I was even older than her. I guess it runs in the family. Love you and can’t wait to see you all! (Youall?) Mom

Poor thing. Why do we do this to our children?

Oh, I shouldn’t be laughing but that is too funny. We haven’t taken Harrison to see Santa yet so I have no idea how he will react. See you soon!
