Slackers

We are still alive and doing well, although you couldn’t tell by our blogless site. We had a wonderful vacation to Utah and California over the holidays. We flew into Utah and we were able to attend Josh and Danielle’s wedding, visit with lots of family, have guitar hero tournaments, exchange Christmas gifts, and eat out every day. Some of our favorite local places are Cafe Rio, Betos, Tucanos, and Los Hermanos. Just thinking about them makes my mouth water.
After a week in Utah we rented a car and drove to Sacramento. Again, we hung out with lots of family, played games every night, had dart tournaments, had our Christmas with Dad and then Christmas with Mom. We also celebrated New Years Eve there and we were able to visit with Steph and Leo.
There is so much I could document about our trip but since I don’t have any pictures, it would be boring for you readers. The reason I don’t have any pictures is because I lost my camera, a Nikon D50, on Christmas Eve. I left it at a park and realized my stupidity as soon as I got home. (I tell ya, pregnancy has not been good for my memory. The camera is just one of many things I’ve forgotten lately). Forty-five minutes later the camera was gone. We tried putting an ad in the newspaper, on Craiglist, called parks and rec, etc…of no avail. I do have my one extra lens so I’m hoping to get another Nikon soon. If you seen any good deals out there, let me know.

Ooohh, I am so sorry about the camera. It’s sometimes harder to lose the memories captured than the camera. I remember when our camera disappeared out of nowhere right after Taylor’s third birthday and before our trip to Disneyland. To this day we have no idea what happened to it. I remember that I put it in the camera bag in our bedroom right after Taylor got his new bike and was riding it around for us. But for some reason, even though the camera bag was still in our room, the camera was missing. I remember thinking that I just wanted the pictures from the camera and that I didn’t care if the camera was returned (although it was an expensive one and would’ve also been nice to have). I’m sure Jake will find a good deal before I will. But I will keep my eye out for you. P.S. The brain works a little less with each pregnancy.

I posted all of the pictures I had of you guys on my blog. I should’ve taken more. Let me know if you come across a good deal- I’d love to get a good camera too.

I keep looking at that camera in your hands in the photo on my blog and wishing I could pluck it out of that picture for you. I will look into my camera and send you any photos I can find of your family. So sad. Too bad people aren’t honest. They could have posted it in the Bee easily. Anyway, glad you had a great time, we did too. Love yas.

Yeah- I’m really sorry about your camera. I wish I would have gotten more pictures of you guys. I got a few of Allie and some with you and Jake in them if you want me to send them to you. If you want, we can also send you our old HP camera while you are looking for other cameras. We don’t use it and it takes decent pictures (although nothing like the nikon). I’m really sad that we aren’t going to see you guys for 10 months. That is way too long.

Oh that is SUCH a bummer!!! I will see if I have any pics too. We got ours stolen in Hawaii and it just made me sick. Good thing Jake is awesome at finding good deals.

Sorry about the camera.
We thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of you. Thank you for making the effort to visit us out here. Along with Maran, I am sad about the ten months until we see each other.
All of our love,
G

Hey Kerrie! I’m glad you guys had some fun holiday times.
We just barely got a new camera after loosing ours too. I left it on top of our car at a rest stop this summer – unfortunately we didn’t notice until a few hours later. I don’t need to be pregnant – I forget everything anyway! I hope life is treating you well back in NC.
Sure Loveya,
Shirley

Oh man, that stinks losing the camera. I will send you the pics I have of Allie and Harrison at the luncheon. I saw your comment on france fam and wanted to let you know we potty trained Harrison while we were down in Texas. the book i read was “Potty Train your child in just one day…proven secrets of the potty pro” by Teri Crane. The lady is hilarious, goes a little overboard, but her ideas helped us get Harrison over his anxieties about going in the toilet and it worked in one day! Good luck to ya!
