Allie’s 3rd Birthday
by Kerrie on May.11, 2008, under Baby, Kerrie
This year we decided to forgo an actual birthday party for Allie and planned a family trip to the NC Zoo. Unfortunately, it rained on Allie’s birthday so we went to the museum (her favorite place) instead. We played at the museum for a few hours then went to a mall that had a carousel, train and bounce house. She loved the carousel and bounce house. We ate out for lunch and then we went home and opened presents. She played with her new toys and after dinner we had a few close friends who live in our building join us for cake and ice cream.
I can’t believe our little girl is a big three year old now. As much as I love seeing her grow and learn new things, I hate that she is growing up so fast. Sometimes I wish time would just stand still until I’m ready to move on. She is such a joy and brings so much love and laughter into our home. We are so blessed to be her parents. She is going to be a great big sister and helper for mommy.
P.S. Happy Mother’s Day to all of you wonderful women!!!

So no baby on Mother’s Day this time huh? I’ve been wondering about you lately. I forget when your due date is, but I’m pretty sure it’s about now. How exciting. I noticed the one picture you posted of you with Allie is hiding your pregnant-ness. Ha ha! Happy Birthday cute Allie! What a fun family outing. I think that’s a fabulous idea to forgo the party and just do a little cake and ice cream thing. Genius! Happy Mother’s Day!

Looks like the perfect birthday party. I am sure she had a wonderful day. Love her princess tiara. That is so nice that you have friends and their parents (dads too) come over for her party. Times have sure changed since you were little. Dads never came to kid’s friend’s parties. And kids had small birthday parties at home with home made cake and pin the tail on the donkey and maybe a pinata. Birthdays can get very expensive now.
Now that her birthday is over, its time for another birthday! Can’t wait to meet the little guy in less than two weeks! See you soon.

HAPPY #3 BIRTHDAY! We wanted to call on your birthday and then realized we don’t know your phone number and that there is a time difference!
Sounds like you wouldn’t have been home anyway
what a great day to spend with mom and dad and to have friends over for the best part of the day! What a big girl!
