Halloween

Allie absolutely adores Cinderella right now. So, Cinderella she was. She got to wear her costume a lot this year. The Halloween fun began a week ago at our Ward Trunk or Treat. She scored lots of candy. Then she had a preschool party on Thursday where they told ghost stories, decorated cookies, and paraded around the lobby of our apartment buildings. On Halloween morning she dressed up again in her Cinderella costume to dance and twirl and shake her sillies out at her dance class. That afternoon, we went to the student-housing festival. She got her cheek painted, decorated cupcakes, made little crafts, etc. Then we came back to our place and had some friends over for taco soup and corn bread. After dinner we went to another festival. We decided she had plenty of candy left over from the church party so she didn’t need any more. The festival had lots of games for little kids and they would get a toy for playing. When Allie woke up this morning I asked her what she wants to be for Halloween next year. Her reply: “naked girl.” That truly is her next favorite costume. I have to force her to wear clothing most days. Don’t worry, I won’t let her be naked girl next year…it just made me laugh so I thought I’d share.

Jake and I were lame…we didn’t dress up.

Our pretty princess.

Luke was a leopard for Halloween. Allie wore the same costume when she was a baby. I put their pictures side by side and was surprised at how similar they look. Can you tell who is who? This quiz shouldn’t be too hard.

What a fun week. Kids love Halloween. Wow, they look so much alike but Allie’s lips give her away. Looks like their eyes are going to be close in color. Thanks for sharing their photos. Ilove to see the kids in their Halloween costumes.

Wow- sounds like you (Allie) enjoyed many festivities! Kids make Halloween so fun! I can’t believe how much Luke and Allie look alike! I think Luke’s pictures had leaves in the background??

OOps– I forgot to say that the “naked girl” comment cracked me up.

Cute kids! Halloween is so fun. Jade loves Cinderella, but I don’t think she’s ever really seen the movie, she just looks at the cover. Glad you guys had fun! :)

What a cute little Cinderella and leopard. I bet Hannah will want to be that next year. She loves the movie. Allie and Luke do look a lot alike, but their noses are a little bit different. They are both adorable!

If you weren’t looking for the differences, you would think they are the same kid! Allie was a beautiful princess. I love how you do her hair. I need to find that blog on little girls’ hair to get some good ideas.

Oh how fun! they are adorable, of course. Jake and I were lame too…don’t worry ;)
Sarah would enjoy the naked girl costume as well, which is why she was a ballerina, not too much clothing (wink, wink)…

What a beautiful cinderella! That is hilarious about “naked girl”-that would be an easy costume…

Diego wants to be naked boy all the time. Kids are so funny like that. He also loves Cinderella! Great costume choice. We were at Disneyland one day and caught the end of a show that had Woody, Mickey, and Cinderella and you could take pictures with them. I naturally went to Woody first, and then was headed to Mickey, but Diego wanted to see Cinderella. He absolutely loves the Cinderelli song. It must be the mice. Anyway……It was pretty tricky figuring out who was who in the slide. There was one picture I knew was Allie, and another I was convinced was Luke, but the others I wasn’t sure about. They are both so adorable.
