A Snow Day

It rarely snows here in NC so when it does, it’s a big deal. Schools closed, businesses closed, church activities were canceled. The state stopped for 4 inches of snow.
I begged Jake to stay home and play in the snow with us for a little bit. Unfortunately, he was too busy… that is, until UNC canceled all classes due to the snow. So Jake came home a little earlier than normal and he and Allie made a snowman. Luke and I only stayed outside long enough to take some pictures then headed inside to our warm, cozy apartment and made hot chocolate for them. It was a fun snow day!

Ooo…I love the new look of your site! Fun! Meanwhile…your kids are sooooooo cute. Luke is so photogenic. I also love the cute little snowman. Someday Diego will get to play in the snow. He saw patches of it on the hills when we drove through the grapevine on our way to Sacramento in December. It was a nice 82 degrees today here.

I love NC’s weather! It’s usually mild, but you get beautiful fall colors, and now snow for a day. How fun!
It makes me sad that we are missing out on Luke’s whole babyhood. He’s such a cutie…you need to post some video for us.

Whoa, this is a different website! Ok, so who is the anonymous person that is missing out on Luke’s whole babyhood? I feel the same way! He is so cute. I agree we need more videos. What does his laugh sound like? Is he sitting by himself? Is he rolling over? More, more, more! Anyway, What fun to actually play in the snow. When I was there in May-June it was 101 degrees! What a difference! Good thing you had warm clothes for Allie to play in.

One more comment. On your ABOUT US page it says that Allie “Enjoys classical music, strawberry tofu shakes, and competitive snowboarding” UH,when and where does a three year old do competitive snowboarding,? and who makes the strawberry tofu shakes? and what is her favorite classical music piece? That was news to me. Is that for real or is the joke on me?

Mom, that’s totally a joke. It’s probably time we update the “About Us” and “Gallery” section of this blog. We’ll get to it eventually. I’ll try to post video of Luke soon. We have some cute clips of him eating.

Snow?! When was the last time it snowed in NC? Is that very unusual? I love the snowman you made. He’s so tiny and cute. I’m glad you got to enjoy the snow a little this year.

And I love your pictures! Playing in the snow is so fun! I wish it would snow again here… at least the freezing cold wouldn’t feel so pointless. I’m glad you guys could all enjoy the day for a while, that’s awesome.
